A goal to improve residents’ lives through weight loss surgery at the community hospital they trust for their healthcare needs has become a reality at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
The bariatrics team at Jefferson Regional, Michael Felix, MD, and Geoffrey Wilcox, MD, of Hope Bariatrics, and Tunc Aksehirli, MD of Jefferson Hills Surgical Specialists reported the program officially got underway with two successful surgeries on Jan. 17.
Jefferson Regional Medical Center will debut the results of a two-year, $17.5 million construction project by welcoming members of the communities who most benefit from it. The public is invited to attend an Open House for the newly expanded operating rooms on Saturday, March, 10 from 1 to 4 p.m.
