Our Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit focuses on helping patients regain independence as they recover from conditions such as:
  • Stroke;
  • Minor spinal cord injury;
  • Amputation;
  • Brain injury;
  • Arthritis, including rheumatoid arthritis;
  • Neurological disorders, such as multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, and motor-neuro diseases;
  • Multiple trauma;
  • Hip fractures; and
  • Recovery after complex medical/surgical procedures.
This 31-bed unit was designed to provide patients with the unique types of care needed after medical treatment for one of these conditions. Patients may be admitted from home, a personal care home, or a skilled nursing facility. Our intake coordinator can assist you with the admission process.

Staff and Services
Our highly specialized staff of physiatrists, nurses and therapists can work with the patient's physician to prepare a treatment plan that will help the patient gain optimal functional independence before returning home. A treatment plan can include physical, occupational, and speech therapies, depending on the patient's need.

Our nursing staff — including registered nurses (RNs), licensed practical nurses (LPNs), and patient care technicians — helps patients get back to daily living, and they involve family members in day-to-day care. If needed, our nurses help patients learn to use adaptive and physical rehabilitation equipment such as walkers, splints, and braces.
