Our Department of Allergy and Immunology specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of problems with the immune system, such as allergies, which are reactions to usually harmless substances such as food, drugs, chemicals, insect stings, and pollens.

In addition, we can offer treatment for
  • both inherited and acquired immunodeficiency diseases including acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS);
  • autoimmune diseases such arthritis, lupus erythematosus and vasculitis; and
  • organ transplant rejection and cancer of the lymph glands.
Our physicians will examine your background and perform tests to identify the cause of the problem. After diagnosis, they can develop a treatment plan that is designed to enhance your quality of life. Members of the Allergy and Immunology Department also coordinate with other Jefferson Regional Medical Center physicians so that you are receive an accurate diagnosis of your illness and an effective treatment plan.
