Terry Yandrich Appointed Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety

Terry J. Yandrich, RN, MSN, JD, has been appointed Director of Risk Management and Patient Safety at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. In her position, she is responsible for directing the operations of the Risk Management department of the Medical Center and overseeing comprehensive efforts to ensure the safety of employees, patients and visitors.
Before coming to Jefferson Regional, Yandrich was a shareholder and an attorney for Dickie, McCamey & Chilcote, P.C. in Pittsburgh, where her practice included specialization in the area of medical malpractice litigation and professional liability. Prior to joining the firm, she was a corporate compliance officer for Vincentian Nursing Homes in Pittsburgh and Heritage Valley Health System. She also was a nursing instructor at Sewickley Valley Hospital School of Nursing and a staff nurse at Ohio Valley Hospital in Steubenville, Ohio.
Yandrich is a graduate of Duquesne University School of Law, where she earned her Juris Doctorate degree, and Duquesne University School of Nursing, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Nursing Education. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at West Liberty State College and her Diploma in Nursing from Ohio Valley Hospital School of Nursing. She has published articles about “Preventing Infection in Total Joint Replacement Surgery” and “Creating a Nursing Research Committee” in various publications including Orthopaedic Nursing and AORN Journal.
Her professional affiliations include the Allegheny County Bar Association and Duquesne University Alumni Association. She was named as a Pennsylvania Rising Star in Pennsylvania Super Lawyers for 2006.
