Nurses at Jefferson Regional Medical Center have opportunities to take part in special programs that guide and recognize the contribution of nurses in the delivery of patient care. Care Delivery Partnership ProgramThe Care Delivery Partnership Program (CDPP) is unique to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. The program's goal is to provide a forum for nursing staff to set forth goals of continuous improvement in the patient care delivery process.At Jefferson Regional Medical Center, nurses have a voice in issues that affect care and the nursing process. Cameo of CaringJefferson Regional Medical Center is proud to participate in the Cameo of Caring event, sponsored by University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. This distinguished honor is awarded to an outstanding nurse who demonstrates excellence in nursing care, as selected by his/her peers.
Ann Page, a West Newton registered nurse with 30 years of service at Jefferson Regional Medical Center, has been selected by her peers to represent Jefferson Regional at the 10th annual 2008 Cameos of Caring celebration Nov. 1 sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing. The Cameos Award honors outstanding nurses for their dedication to quality patient care.
Page, a critical care nurse in the Medical Center’s Medical/Progressive Care Unit, 5 South, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing at California University of Pennsylvania, her RN at Community College of Allegheny County, and her LPN at Westmoreland County Community College. At Jefferson Regional, she has worked in the Intensive Care Unit, Emergency Room and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit and has served on the Medical Center’s Patient Teaching Committee and Patient Safety Committee. The purpose of the Ladder is to reward and recognize our registered nurses by providing a framework for advancement of nurses that choose to remain a bedside clinician. It is designed to enhance quality patient care as well as promote recruitment and retention of exceptional nursing staff.The framework revolves around professional development and contributions to the nursing practice at the unit level, the organizational level and to the nursing profession at large. Advancement is based on application of the nursing process, proficiency with clinical skills, educational development, leadership and community outreach. The Division of Nursing is focused on empowering nurses, enhancing their careers and promoting excellence in practice.
