Glaucoma

Related Subjects

Glaucoma is term that refers to a group of diseases that can lead to damage to the eye’s optic nerve and result in blindness. Early treatment can often protect the eyes against serious vision loss. An eye doctor can perform glaucoma screenings during an annual visit.

At first, open-angle glaucoma has no symptoms. Vision stays normal, and there is no pain. If glaucoma remains untreated, you may notice that it's difficult to see objects to the side and out of the corner of the eye.
